Dr. Burton is a professional development expert with over 20 years of teaching and learning experience. Adult learning and leadership development research provide the background for Dr. Burton's effectiveness as an organizational learning specialist. Through application of sociological and psychological concepts to organizational behavior and assessment of organizational culture, Dr. Burton has developed learning programs of varying length, depth and content. Emotional Competence, Team Effectiveness, Adult Learning Styles, and Productive Leadership are among the many customized programs Dr. Burton has developed. From Motivational Speaking Events to Meeting Facilitation, she utilizes enthusiastic communication and presentation skills to increase teamwork, learning, and productivity.
Dr. Burton currently serves as the Organizational Development Specialist at The Travel Authority, the 8th largest travel management provider in the U.S. An employee-owned company, The Travel Authority has worked to become uniquely equipped to provide a balanced approach between technology and human interaction in the travel booking industry. Dr. Burton provides ongoing Employee Development training events with the goal of realizing the full human capital potential of the company.
